Smart Compose is a neat addition to Gmail which based on your email writing patterns and commonly used phrases, tries to predict what you will say next and surfaces it as a suggestion that you can simply accept. The feature was initially available as an experimental feature on the desktop and then was added to G Suite accounts. Google has released Bolo, an Android app that is aimed at improving the reading skills of children. Bolo is powered by the company’s speech recognition and text-to-speech technology that comes built-in with a helpful reading buddy, “Diya.” which explains and corrects the child, as they read aloud.

Facebook Messenger for Android and iOS gets Dark Mode

Facebook now allows you to add event invites in Stories

Facebook brings a new update to Stories feature where you can now share events in Stories. This ability makes much more sense and makes it easier to invite your friends to Facebook events you’re attending. To share events in Stories, visit the page of the event and click “Share” below the date/time of the event. Twitter confirms to be working on ‘Hide Tweet’ feature

Twitter confirmed that it is developing a new “Hide Tweet” feature which will give users an ability to protect their conversations. This new option is found in Twitter’s code and appear in the list choices when you click the “Share” button on a tweet. “Hide Tweet” might work as an alternative to muting or blocking a user, while still offering some control over a conversation. Google Chrome Dark Mode for Android and Web said to darken web pages [Update: Live in Canary]

Update – February 27, 2019: Now you can enable this feature in Chome Canary from chrome://flags and enabling #enable-android-web-contents-dark-mode. The dark mode looks a bit weird in some web pages since it inverts images colors looking more like high contrast mode than dark mode. This is also available for the web.
