Two of the biggest online market places in India – Flipkart and Amazon.in are taking a step further to get more sellers to their platform. Flipkart has announced the nation-wide launch of a new cataloguing and listing service dubbed as Spotlist. The new initiative aims to bring sellers including SMEs, artisans and other businesses with instant access to list their products on Flipkart.

Amazon.in has scheduled the ‘Great Indian Sale’ that will be held between 21st January – 23rd January 2016 while Flipkart has organized the Republic Day Sale from 20th January-22nd January.
Following its announcement to enter India starting next month, Fitbit has started taking pre-orders for a range of its fitness wearables and activity trackers on Amazon.in.

Amazon India marketplace, Amazon.in that was launched earlier this month with just 2 categories books and movies has now expanded to Mobiles and Accessories, Tablets, Cameras and Photography, and Portable Media Players. The company says that they have over 20,000 electronics products from over 200 leading brands. Amazon introduced Kindle family of E-readers, ebooks and Kindle Fire tablets couple of weeks back.
