Airtel 5G Plus launched officially; now live in 8 cities

After announcing the roll-out of 5G services in 8 cities at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022, Airtel today officially launched its 5G services which it is calling ‘Airtel 5G plus’ in 8 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi.

Airtel demos immersive VR advertisement powered by 5G

Airtel today announced that it has demoed India’s first immersive Virtual Reality (VR) advertisement powered by 5G at the IMC 2022. The advertisement format on the Airtel Thanks app opens new avenues for brands to engage with consumers in an immersive environment that was previously not possible in the traditional advertising paradigm, said the company.

Airtel Payments Bank has launched Micro ATMs to help debit card customers outside of metro and Tier 1 cities withdraw cash. The banks will leverage their network of over 500,000 banking points in India to facilitate cash withdrawals.
