TECNO Spark 50 5G with 6.78″ 120Hz display, 6500mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 16,999

TECNO Mobile has launched the TECNO Spark 50 3, the company’s 5G smartphone in India, as it had promised. Positioned in the competitive mid-range 5G segment, the newly released device emphasizes extended battery life, rugged durability, and unique offline connectivity features.

Core Specifications and Features

Tecno is marketing the device heavily around its hardware resilience and battery longevity, steering its focus toward users who need a dependable daily driver in varying conditions.

  • Battery and Charging: The device is powered by a massive 6500mAh battery, designed to easily support all-day usage. To minimize downtime, it is paired with 45W fast charging.
  • Performance and Memory: To handle multitasking, the Spark 50 5G features up to 18GB of extended RAM (utilizing a combination of physical and virtual memory).
  • Audio: The phone includes a dedicated noise cancellation feature to ensure voice calls remain clear even in noisy environments.
Durability Standards

A major selling point of the Spark 50 5G is its rugged build quality, which is uncommon in typical budget and mid-range smartphones:

  • Drop Resistance: It holds a MIL-STD-810H certification, meaning it has been tested to withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters.
  • Water and Dust Protection: The phone features an IP64 PRO rating, making it highly resistant to everyday water exposure and dust.

Advanced Connectivity

Tecno has integrated several specialized connectivity tools aimed at improving reliability in areas with weak cellular reception:

  • UPS 3.0 Technology: This signal-boosting tech is designed to facilitate up to 2X faster digital payments (like UPI) even when the network is struggling.
  • 4×4 MIMO Support: The device utilizes 4×4 MIMO antenna technology to deliver up to 82% faster download speeds.
  • No Network Communication: One of the most distinct additions is a decentralized communication feature, allowing users to stay connected and communicate with compatible devices up to 1.5 kilometers away without relying on standard cellular networks or Wi-Fi.
