Xiaomi has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of its latest performance-focused smartphone, the REDMI Turbo 5, in India. Promotional materials released by the company reveal that the device is scheduled to debut on June 16, 2026.
Marketing for the upcoming release centers significantly on processing speeds and hardware efficiency, positioned under the promotional tagline, “Fast isn’t just a feature anymore. It’s the default.”

Key Technical Specifications
The promotional teasers provide a comprehensive breakdown of the device’s core hardware configurations across performance, display, imaging, and battery subsystems:
- Processor & Memory: The REDMI Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek 8500-Ultra chipset. The device supports up to 24GB of RAM (which includes 12GB of virtual RAM expansion, varying by hardware variant). Storage architecture relies on the UFS 4.1 standard paired with LPDDR5X Ultra memory configuration.
- Display: The smartphone features an Adaptive 120Hz Fluid Display sporting a 1.5K resolution, designed to balance high refresh rate smoothness with power efficiency.
- Camera System: The rear camera module utilizes a dual-lens array featuring a 50MP primary sensor equipped with dual optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS + EIS). This is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, the device houses a 20MP selfie camera.
- Battery & Charging: The device includes a 100W HyperCharge wired fast-charging system capable of rapid power replenishment.
Design and Aesthetics
Visuals of the handset show a flat-edge mid-frame design with a minimalist rear panel layout. The camera lenses are arranged vertically without a traditional large rectangular island, framed by distinctive red accent rings that match the motorsport-themed marketing campaign.
It is expected to feature a 3D ice-loop cooling system with a 5300 mm² VC cooling system, come with IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, and pack a 6500mAh battery.
The phone will be available from Amazon.in, mi.com and offline stores after the launch. Pricing, variant distribution, and availability channels for the Indian market are expected to be officially disclosed at the launch event on June 16.
