The company stated that the initial response indicates strong consumer interest in the device, which is positioned as India’s first smartphone in the sub-Rs. 10,000 segment to feature Indus by Sarvam AI.
Launched at a special introductory price of ₹9,499, the HMD Vibe2 5G drew traction from buyers across both metropolitan and non-metropolitan regions.
Marketing for the device has primarily focused on its localized AI capabilities, design, and value-oriented feature set targeted at budget-conscious consumers.
