POCO has launched POCO C81X and the POCO C81, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphones in India, as it had promised. The device focuses on hardware upgrades, including a larger battery, a high-refresh-rate display, and the integration of Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.
Display and Design
The POCO C81X is equipped with a 6.88-inch display, and the POCO C81X has a 6.9-inch screen. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 600 nits (C81X ) / 800 nits (C81).

- Wet Touch Technology 2.0: Designed to maintain touch responsiveness when the user’s fingers are damp, oily, or soapy.
- Eye Comfort: Features DC dimming and holds triple TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certifications.

Battery and Performance
The smartphones are powered by the Octa-Core UNISOC T7250 processor with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 4GB of additional virtual RAM. The POCO C81X has a 5,200mAh battery, and the POCO C81 features a 6,300mAh battery. The battery is rated for 1,000 charging cycles, after which it is advertised to retain over 80% of its original capacity.
Software and AI Integration
The POCO C81 runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android. This software integration brings several notable features to the entry-level device:
- Google Integration: Includes Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google.
- Interface Features: Incorporates Xiaomi HyperIsland for multitasking and Xiaomi Interconnectivity for integration with other Xiaomi ecosystem devices.
The POCO C81X runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top.

The imaging system on the POCO C81 series consists of a dual-camera setup on the rear and a single front-facing camera.

The POCO C81X is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the single 3GB + 64GB model. The POCO C81 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the single 4GB + 64GB model.
