Xiaomi has started teasing the REDMI K90 Max smartphone and the REDMI K Pad 2 tablet ahead of the China launch later this month.
REDMI K90 Max
The REDMI K90 Max comes after the REDMI K90 and the K90 Pro Max that were introduced last year. The teaser image shows the phone in Space Silver, which embodies futuristic technological aesthetics, said the company.
It has an aluminium alloy frame and features an ultra-narrow bezel design and a minimalist grille opening. It will come with a new air-cooling system
featuring a structurally redesigned fan and airflow system, achieving a double leap in airflow and cooling efficiency. This will challenge the industry’s strongest cooling capabilities, and its performance is limitless, the company added.
The K90 Max features a large-sized fan with a diameter 6% larger than mainstream solutions. Its upright intake design and forward-tilted fan blades boost airflow, achieving a speed of 0.42 CFM per minute, 1.3 times that of competitors. The “air-shaping” simulated vortex airflow reduces turbulence caused by path bends. The guide fins streamline airflow, covering the chip’s heat source with up to 78% airflow utilization, rapidly maximizing heat dissipation efficiency and delivering superior gaming performance.
Even with a large fan, the noise is as low as 32dB even when it operates at full speed. It also features three fan speed modes to flexibly adapt to different usage scenarios. The K90 Max with an active cooling fan promises a 10°C drop in just 100 seconds. The company already confirmed 165Hz high refresh rate screen.
Even with air-cooling, it has IP66/IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, a 50,000-hour dust and water resistance rating, and a 6-year warranty with a metal bearing system aging test. It also includes lifetime cleaning and maintenance, said Xiaomi.
REDMI K Pad 2
The REDMI K Pad 2 is a new-generation flagship performance tablet powered by Dimensity 9500 flagship chip for effortless gaming performance, said the company.
The 8.8-inch perfect portable size fits comfortably in one hand, the company added and said that the 165Hz high refresh rate e-sports screen offers comprehensive upgrades in brightness, touch control, and eye protection, further enhancing the gaming experience.
In addition to gold and black colours, it will come in a striking new electric purple colour and will come with a unibody metal design. The Deco camera boasts a sleek, flat back. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the tablet will boast a large 9100mAh battery.
