Xiaomi just introduced the REDMI K90 Pro, the company’s latest top-end REDMI phone at an event in China, as it had promised. The phone feature a 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED flat screen with peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, 120Hz refresh rate, has support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, full brightness DC dimming, 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 12-bit 68.7 billion colors.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, and has independent graphics chip D2 witha new GEX module. Through AI model pre-training, it significantly optimizes lighting and shadow details, achieving native PC-level image quality. It also incorporates dynamic interpolation technology, which calculates and compensates for motion, resulting in smoother, more fluid motion.
The phone has Xiaomi’s largest 6700mm² 3D Ice-Sealed Heatsink utilizes an innovative dual-stage boss design, significantly increasing heat dissipation efficiency and effectively reducing SoC core temperatures. The synergistic combination of highly efficient thermally conductive graphite and thermally conductive gel delivers both high cooling and high performance, ensuring prolonged gaming without overheating.
The REDMI K90 Pro Max features 1115F ultra-linear, symmetrical dual speakers, working in conjunction with an oversized, independent woofer, create a 2.1 stereo sound field, delivering a more stable sound image, deeper bass, and a wider soundstage. This delivers an immersive, live sound experience with full bass, rich details, and powerful sound.
The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 950 sensor with OIS, Xiaomi AISP 2.0, 13.5EV movie-level high dynamic range, same as the Xiaomi 17, has a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera with 30cm macro option, a first for REDMI. It has IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The phone features a glass back and a metal frame, and the Blue colour features a back cover resembling blue jeans, which is crafted using a two-tone warp and weft process and third-generation nano-leather technology, offering UV and yellowing resistance. It also boasts significantly improved wear resistance, allowing surface stains to be easily wiped away.
There is also a REDMI K90 Pro Max ‘Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE’ Champion Edition that has a custom design, and a customized gift box. This comes only in 16GB + 1TB version.
The phone comes with a 7560mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W fast charging, and also supports 100W PPS charging. There is also 50W wireless charging, a first in a REDMI phone. The newly upgraded Xiaomi Surge P3 smart fast charging chip + G2 battery management chip significantly improves charging efficiency.
