OnePlus just introduced the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V smartphones in the new Turbo series in China, as it had promised.
Display
The phones pack a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate for the Turbo 6 and 144Hz refresh rate for the Turbo 6V. There is both PWM Dimming and DC Dimming.
Design
These come in three colors: Light Chaser Silver, Solo Black, and Wild Green. It adopts a new exclusive micron-level silk replication process, which creates a transparent texture while ensuring toughness and drop resistance.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 features a clean and uncluttered back panel with a “metal cube” Deco design, complemented by 15.5mm ultra-large golden R corners and slightly curved edges, giving it a flagship-level feel and comfortable grip. The phones feature IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistant ratings.
Performance
The OnePlus Turbo 6 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, first in the price range, supporting 165Hz ultra-high frame rate gaming experience, a first in its segment.
In addition, the OnePlus Turbo 6 has completed native 165 FPS adaptation for six major categories of mainstream mobile games, including FPS, MOBA, fighting, and racing. It supports games such as Call of Duty Mobile and Naruto Mobile to enable native 165 FPS mode, and achieves full 165 FPS operation in Call of Duty Mobile.
There is Windspeed Edition chip that is deeply customized by OnePlus in collaboration with Qualcomm and features the exclusive self-developed chip-level gaming technology “Windspeed Gaming Kernel”. This reduces gaming power consumption by 8%, kernel load by 15.24%, and scheduler efficiency by 35.46%.
In addition, the OnePlus Turbo 6 is equipped with the same Glacier cooling system as flagship models, the exclusive self-developed e-sports Wi-Fi chip G1, the exclusive self-developed Lingxi touch chip, and a flagship-level gyroscope, which are said to ensure continuous performance output and provide users with a smooth and immersive gaming experience with high frame rates throughout.
The Ace 6V is one of the first phones to be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen4 SoC, and it supports 144Hz gaming.
Batttery
The OnePlus Turbo 6 series features a massive 9000mAh battery, setting a new record for the largest battery capacity in the Turbo tier. It also supports 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge and bypass charging technology. Furthermore, the OnePlus Turbo 6 series supports up to 27W wired reverse charging.
The phones pack a 50MP rear camera along with a 2MP monochrome camera and a 16MP front camera.

The phones are available to order and will go on sale in China starting from tomorrow, January 9th. There are also discounts for the first sale. Based on rumours, the Turbo 6V is expected to launch in India soon as a Nord CE series phone.
