Xiaomi just launched the REDMI Pad 2 Pro and Pad 2 Pro 5G tablets in India, as it had promised. The tablets have a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, DC dimming and triple TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution), Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly viewing.
The tablet features a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio and volume boost of up to 300%. The tablet is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, a major upgrade compared to Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the predecessor. The tablet runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 and will get 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates.
There are accessories such as REDMI Smart Pen with 4096 pressure levels and millisecond-grade ultra-low latency. The REDMI Pad 2 Pro Keyboard offers spacious 16×16mm keys, 1.3mm key travel, and 19mm key pitch. It also includes a built-in stylus loop to keep the pen within easy reach.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro packs a 12000mAh (typ) battery —one of Xiaomi’s largest tablet batteries in the global market and comes with 33W fast charging as well as 27W wired reverse charging to double up as a portable power bank for other devices on the go.

The REDMI Pad 2 Pro is priced at Rs. 24,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB model.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 29,999.
It will be available from Amazon.in, Flipkart, Mi.com, Xiaomi retail and other offline stores starting from January 12th.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro keyboard and REDMI Smart Pen cost Rs. 3,999 each and the REDMI Pad 2 Pro cover costs Rs. 1,499. The pen is already available and the keyboard and the cover will be available soon.
