After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the company’s next flagship Ultra series smartphone in China on December 25th.
Xiaomi recently announced a deeper, multi-layered collaboration in an aim to integrate Leica’s expertise in professional optics, aesthetic philosophy, and interactive concepts directly into the product development process from its origin.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature the first Leica APO-certified telephoto lens in the mobile imaging field. In addition to the telephoto lens, the optical system includes a next-generation 1-inch main camera sensor designed specifically for mobile devices.
The image shows f/1.67 aperture for the 1-inch main camera, f/2.9 aperture for the 200MP periscope lens, 14mm focal length for ultra-wide to 100mm focal length for the telephoto lens, which is equivalent to 4.3X, and VARIO-APO-SUMMILUX lens.

Xiaomi has also posted the image of the phone in Starry Green color, incorporating mineral particles for a dazzling, starry-sky-like finish. It boasts meticulous details, segmented volume buttons, a comfortable, wraparound frame, a miniaturized camera module for a sleek, unobstructed grip, and a large-angle 2D flat screen, said the company.
Its 8.29mm slim body makes it a professional yet elegant imaging flagship, Xiaomi’s thinnest Ultra to date, said Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Mobile Phone Division.
We should know more details about the phone in the coming before it goes official later this week. The global launch is expected in early March at the MWC 2026 event, since the phone has already received FCC certification.
