OnePlus is all set to launch the OnePlus 15R, the company’s next top-end smartphone in the R series in India and global markets on December 17th. Here we have the unboxing of the phone.

The Media kit also comes with two magnetic cases – Hole Pattern Magnetic Case and Sandstone Magnetic Case, which will be sold separately. The case lets you attach the 27W Magnetic Phone Cooler that is also sold separately. These look similar to the one available for the OnePlus 15.
The phone has a metal frame on par with OnePlus flagships. There is also a Plus Key on the right side. The smartphone will also support Plus Mind, OnePlus’s proprietary AI technology.
The metal camera deco is similar to the OnePlus 15. The camera uses DetailMax Engine, an imaging technology introduced with the OnePlus 15.
The Mint Green colour that we have has a silk glass finish that has a smooth matte finish. It also comes in Charcoal Black that has a similar silk glass finish, and the company is also brining Electric Violet with a fiberglass finish that includes a specialized coating that imprints the word “Ace” into the device’s rear aesthetic, which the company is branding as the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition.
The OnePlus 15R features a 7400mAh battery, higher than the 7300mAh present in the OnePlus 15. The battery utilizes Silicon Nanostack technology, featuring a 15% silicon content in its anode, and the company says that the battery is built to maintain at least 80% capacity after four years of operation.
OnePlus already confirmed that the 15R will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The company states that this processor has been “co-defined and co-optimized” for the handset and marks the first global availability of this specific chipset in a device.
The OnePlus 15R will be available for purchase via Amazon.in and the official OnePlus India website after the launch. The launch event in Bengaluru on December 17 will be livestreamed, and tickets for physical attendance are currently available via BookMyShow.
