OnePlus has officially announced a new variant for its upcoming OnePlus 15R smartphone. The device will be available in a third color option, “Electric Violet,” which the company is branding as the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition. This new colorway joins the previously confirmed Charcoal Black and Mint Green versions.
According to the announcement, the Ace Edition features a distinct design utilizing a fiberglass back cover. The panel includes a specialized coating that imprints the word “Ace” into the device’s rear aesthetic.
Regarding internal specifications, OnePlus already confirmed that the 15R series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The company states that this processor has been “co-defined and co-optimized” for the handset and marks the first global availability of this specific chipset in a device.
Additionally, the smartphone will be equipped with a 7,400 mAh battery and will feature the DetailMax Engine, an imaging technology introduced with the OnePlus 15.
The OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will be available for purchase via Amazon.in and the official OnePlus India website. The smartphone is scheduled to be fully revealed at a launch event in Bengaluru on December 17. The event will be livestreamed, and tickets for physical attendance are currently available via BookMyShow.
