OnePlus has finally confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 15, the company’s next flagship phone in India on November 13, soon after the launch of the phone in China earlier this week.
The company states the new device aims to build on its performance legacy by delivering exceptional speed and enhanced personalized intelligence through OxygenOS 16. The announcement highlights the phone’s photography capabilities, powered by the new DetailMax Engine, which is claimed to provide enhanced clarity in both daylight and night-time conditions. The OnePlus 15 will be offered in a design featuring three distinct color options.

Performance and AI Enhancements
The core of the OnePlus 15’s performance is the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, positioning it among the first smartphones to utilize this processor. This hardware is coupled with 10,667Mbps LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM in the 16GB variant, which the company claims will further refine the brand’s smooth and responsive user experience.
This foundation supports OxygenOS 16, which will introduce AI-driven features designed for smoother interaction, intelligent language tools, and enhanced imaging support. A deeper integration with Google’s personal AI assistant Gemini is noted, allowing users to connect with Mind Space to access and act on previously saved information. Additionally, the new Plus Mind feature is described as a personalized, context-aware second brain.
DetailMax Engine: Advancements in Computational Photography
OnePlus is introducing the DetailMax Engine, an advanced system integrating multiple technologies to achieve clearer, high-fidelity photos.
Key features of the engine include:
- Ultra-Clear 26MP mode: This mode combines data from multi-frame 12MP shots with a single 50MP high-resolution frame. The resulting 26MP photo is designed to offer improved clarity, particularly in complex textures like foliage and fabrics, while maintaining a practical file size.
- Clear Burst: This feature improves on previous models by shooting at 10 frames per second, up from 6fps on the OnePlus 13. It utilizes dual-exposure anti-blur technology, capturing both short and long exposures simultaneously to freeze motion while retaining detail.
Clear Night Engine: For low-light photography, this engine employs Dual Analog Gain technology to eliminate timing gaps between exposures. The stated result is brighter, cleaner, and more natural-looking night photos with reduced noise.
Design and Durability
The OnePlus 15 maintains the brand’s focus on design with three announced color finishes:
- Infinite Black: Features a premium frosted glass back, offering a deep, matte finish intended to resist fingerprints.
- Sand Storm: Combines a lightweight fiberglass composite back panel with a micro-arc oxidized (MAO) metal frame. The company indicates this advanced ceramic-grade coating is 1.3 times harder than a titanium mid-frame, aimed at enhancing durability.
- Ultra Violet: This option utilizes a dual-layer optical coating that shifts from violet to sapphire depending on the light source.
Availability
The OnePlus 15 is scheduled to be available for purchase starting at 20:00 PM IST on November 13, following the global launch event. As usual, the phone will be sold on Amazon.in, OnePlus India online store and offline stores.
