Huawei Ascend D quad, world’s fastest smartphone announced


 

Huawei has announced the Huawei Ascend D, that they claim to be the world’s fastest smartphone. It comes with 4.5-inch 720P high definition IPS+ touchscreen display with 330 PPI and Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz / 1.5GHz processor that has 16 core GPU that offers 2X performance. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP BSI rear-facing camera with 1080p full HD video-capture and 1.3MP front-facing camera.It has Huawei’s proprietary power management system which provides up to 30% in energy savings and has Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

  • 8.9mm thick and weighs 130 g
  • Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz / 1.5GHz processor
  • 8MP BSI rear-facing camera with Dual LTD Flash, 1080p full HD video-capture and 1.3MP front-facing camera with 720p HD video-capture
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound with Dolby Mobile 3 Plus
  • 3G HSPA+ 21Mbps/5.76Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0
  • 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory
  • 1800mAh battery

Huawei has also announced the Ascend D quad XL that would have similar specs. It would be 10.9 mm thick, weigh 150g and come with 2500mAh battery.

The Ascend D quad and the Ascend D quad XL would be available in China, Australia, Europe, Asia-Pacific, North and South America, and the Middle East in Q2 2012.
