Update: vivo has confirmed the launch of vivo X Fold5 smartphone in India on July 15th alongside the X200 FE.
Earlier: vivo has started teasing the launch of X Fold5 smartphone in India, days after the phone was introduced in China. This comes after the phone company started teasing the launch of vivo X200 FE model in India.
The company mentions IPX8 & IPX9 ratings for water resistance, IP5X ratings for dust resistance and –20°C Freeze Resistance for the phone. It will pack a 6000mAh dual-cell battery with 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging. The Carbon Fiber Support Hinge has been tested for 600,000 folds, said the company.
vivo highlights a Shortcut Button that will let you access apps and activate functions instantly. The phone is just 9.2 mm thick when folded, 4.3 mm when unfolded and weighs just 217g.
It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, comes with a 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX921 sensor with f/1.57 lens, OIS along with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle module and a 50MP 3x telephoto module with a Sony IMX882 sensor. The selfie cameras utilize a 20MP sensor on the inside and outside.
The phone will be sold on Flipkart after the launch, in addition to vivo India online store. We should know the exact launch date of the phone in the coming days.
