Samsung’s next Galaxy Z series foldable flagship will be thinner, lighter and more durable


Samsung recent revealed the first teaser for its upcoming flagship foldable and said that it will offer ‘Ultra’ experience for flagship foldable and said that it will feature industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance and seamless AI integration optimized for the foldable format.

Now it has posted another teaser that shows a sleek design for the foldable. Samsung says that the ongoing development has reached a new stage with its latest Galaxy Z series.

The company describes these new models as its thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable phones to date, designed with durability in mind. The latest models are being presented as the “Ultra experience” for users seeking a device that unfold.

Based on earlier rumours, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is said to be 3.9mm thick, when unfolded, making it the thinnest foldable phone, but some reports say that it will be 4.54mm thick.

It is expected to retain the 4400mAh battery, but get a faster 45W fast wired charging compared to 25W in the Z Fold6. The phone is said to get a new S Pen with a thicker tip, making writing and drawing on the folding screen easier and more comfortable.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event for foldables is expected to happen sometime in early July 2025, and we should know the exact date soon.
