Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce the Xiaomi 16 flagship smartphone later this year. Now the CAD-based render of the phone has surfaced revealing the design, thanks to tipster Majinbu.
It still has flat sides, but comes with slightly rounded edges. This still has a rectangular camera module that protrudes, has triple rear cameras with flash next to it.
A mockup reveals a two-tone finish for the phone, but it is not clear if this will be a final design. It is said to retain 50MP triple rear cameras.
The display size is said to be between 6.32 and 6.36 inches. This week, Xiaomi confirmed that it will continue to use Snapdragon 8 series chips in its flagship phones, so this will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC.
The rumor says that the phone will pack a 6,800 mAh battery with 100W fast charging, which is huge for a compact phone. To remind you, the Xiaomi 15 has a 5240mAh battery and the latest OnePlus 13T packs a 6260mAh battery.
Compared to IP68 ratings in the Xiaomi 15, the Xiaomi 16 is said to come with IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro in the Xiaomi 16 series are expected to be introduced in China sometime in late September 2025.
