Motorola DROID 4 with 4G LTE support announced for Verizon


Motorola has announced the DROID 4 for Verizon Wireless. It comes with 4.0-inch qHD (940 x 540 pixels) display, five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has 8-megapixel HD rear camera with 1080p and 1.3-megapixel HD front-facing camera with 720p. It has LTE support that offers up to 12 Mbps download speeds and up to 5 Mbps upload speeds within 4G LTE Mobile Broadband coverage areas.

It comes with MotoCast for remote streaming of photos, videos, music, documents, presentations and more from home or office computers and has government-grade encryption (FIPS 140-2) for email, calendar and contacts; pre-loaded with Citrix Receiver for Android (available in webtop) for desktop virtualization and access. There are also accessories such as  10.1-inch Lapdock 100, 14-inch Lapdock 500 Pro with built-in webcam and Ethernet connection, HD Dock, HD Station and vehicle navigation mount that would be available separately.
The Motorola DROID 4 would be available from Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online soon.
