Explore the planet with Nokia 3D World Gaze app for Symbian^3 devices


Nokia Beta Labs has launched a new experimental app, Nokia 3D World Gaze for Symbian^3 devices. This app lets you explore the planet by viewing the places along with the images, wiki pages of popular places. This uses the compass in the phone so that you could view the places just by rotating the phone.

Features of Nokia 3D World Gaze

  • View the places by rotating the phone or use the touch screen to navigate to places or search for places
  • Lock or unlock the auto turning mode using the lock icon
  • Toggle between the birds eye view, that also shows you day and night regions and see through view
  • View the city names, images, Wikinews and Wikipedia articles about the place in the map
  • Zoom using the volume keys
  • Enable or disable clouds from the settings

You need to calibrate the compass while using the app for the first time for the auto turning mode to work. This app needs an internet connection to function and the data used could be viewed from the about menu in the app.
