WhatsApp confirms roll out of ‘Message Yourself’ feature

After beta testing last month, WhatsApp has announced the roll-out of ‘Message Yourself’ feature officially. The 1:1 chat feature with yourself lets you send notes, reminders, and updates as needed, according to the company.

WhatsApp says that this will be useful for users so that they can keep track of their to-dos, send themselves notes, reminders, shopping lists and so on WhatsApp.

During the initial roll-out last month, some beta testers noted that WhatsApp uses a separate caption to highlight the message using your phone number. Furthermore, some beta testers may have noticed a better synchronization of messages within the chat with their own phone numbers for some time.

And, if you send a message to the chat with your phone number, it will always be synced with your other linked devices since multi-device is supported.

How to use the Message Yourself feature?
  1. Open your WhatsApp
  2. Create new chat
  3. You will be able to see your contact at the top of the list
  4. Click on your number and Start Messaging!
Availability

The ‘Message Yourself’ feature on WhatsApp will be available on Android and iPhone, and it will be rolled out to all the users in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp is said to be working on editing messagesVoice status update, WhatsApp Chat and more new features.
