Lava AGNI 5G gets March security patch, bug fixes

Lava has begun to roll out the latest software update to AGNI 5G smartphone customers. With its March 2022 security patch, the update will improve system security, fix minor bugs, and make significant improvements to the smartphone’s user interface, said the company.

The new software update will be distributed via OTA to users, who will be notified once it is available. Users can also manually check for update availability by going to their device’s Settings app. Lava has promised to release software updates for the AGNI 5G smartphone on a regular basis.

Lava previously provided Widevine L1 upgrade to its AGNI 5G customers, enabling 1080p content viewing as well as seamless OTT streaming on the device. The decision was made in response to customer feedback and to improve the overall viewing experience on the smartphone.

Lava AGNI was launched in November last year and packs a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS 90Hz punch-hole display, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of ROM. It is powered by a 6 nm Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset. The phone’s camera setup includes a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone has a 16MP front camera for selfies. The Lava AGNI is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged using a 30W fast charger.

The smartphone is currently available through the Lava e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline retailers.

Commenting on the announcement, Tejinder Singh, Head-Product, Lava International said,

Customer centricity has always been the core focus of our business strategy and hence customer feedback is constantly taken into consideration to enhance user experience. Even in case of AGNI, we listened to our customers from Day 1, which led to significant improvements in the device and our after-sales service.

To start with, we provided a Dedicated Service Manager-AGNI Mitra to each AGNI 5G smartphone user. We also provided a few enhancements in our wide-angle camera and improved UI through software updates. We persistently strive to improve our products to better suit our customers’ needs and providing this software update is one more step in this direction.
