  • Samsung Galaxy F23 5G smartphone 4GB RAM, 128GB storage version in Forest Green colour
  • USB Type-C to C Cable

Even though the phone supports 25W charging, Samsung has removed the charger in the box, so you need to buy it separately.

The F23 5G has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate compared to HD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen in the F22 which was a 4G phone. The screen bright even in outdoors. It is powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC with 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x of RAM with RAM expansion option, which the company calls RAM Plus.  It has support for 12 5G (N1,N3,N5,N7,N8,N20,N28,N66, N38,N40,N41,N78) bands. The phone runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top. Samsung has promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates for the phone. It also has Samsung Pay with NFC and Knox security.

Inside the U-shaped notch, there is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.  The earpiece grill is on the top edge. The phone has a proximity sensor, but it misses the ambient light sensor, so it uses the front camera for auto brightness adjustment. There is a small chin below the screen.

Coming to the button placements, the power button that includes the fingerprint sensor and the volume rockers are present on the right side. The dedicated dual SIM + microSD slot is present on the left side. The secondary microphone is on the top. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are on the bottom. Since the sides have a plastic frame with a glossy finish, they attract fingerprints easily. Even though it lacks stereo speakers, it comes with Dolby Atmos, but it only works with when you connect a wired or wireless earbuds.

The phone has a triple camera arrangement that includes a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The rear camera supports up to 4K 30 fps recording, and the front camera supports FHD 30 fps recording. Check out some camera samples below.

The phone has a plastic back with a matte finish, so doesn’t attract fingerprints, but it is prone to scratches. The phone weighs 198 grams, and is 8.4mm thick since it packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy F23 5G is priced at Rs. 17,499 for the 4GB + 128GB model and the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 18,499, but it will be available at an offer price of Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 15,999, respectively including the Rs. 1000 instant discount on ICICI Bank credit cards, said the company. It will be available from Flipkart, Samsung India eStore and offline stores starting from March 16th.
