Redmi K40 Gaming Edition could launch in India as POCO F3 GT

Xiaomi under its Redmi brand introduced the first gaming-centric Redmi K40 Gaming Edition phone in China yesterday. The company did not reveal any details about the global roll-out of the phone yet. A finding by Mi tipster and leaker @kacskrz revealed that the phone might arrive in India as POCO F3 GT.

POCO already confirmed that the POCO F3 smartphone is in the works, and the POCO India head Anuj Sharma recently said that the phone is in development and will be a much higher priced device when it is ready to launch.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is the first Redmi phone to be powered by a top-end MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. realme already confirmed that it will launch India’s first Dimensity 1200-powered phone in India, and the India CEO said that it will launch the flagship in the country on May 4th.

We still don’t know when we can expect the POCO F3 GT to launch in India, looking at the leaks it could launch sometime in Q2 2021.
