Apple AirPods Max headphones with ANC, Digital Crown, up to 20-hours battery life launched in India for Rs. 59,900

At its ‘One More Thing’ event last month, Apple unveiled new Macs powered by M1 chip. Following that now, Apple has unveiled one more thing and it’s the new AirPods Max headphones with over-ear design, Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, and more.

The AirPods Max is an over-ear wireless headphone that features a 40mm Apple-designed dynamic driver and is equipped with an Apple-designed H1 chip. It sports a custom acoustic design with the breathable knit mesh canopy spanning the headband and the stainless steel headband frame providing strength, flexibility, and comfort for a wide variety of head shapes and sizes. The ear cushion uses memory foam to create an effective seal and you can control the volume, playback, answer or end calls, activate Siri with the Digital Crown on the headphone.

Further, the AirPods Max uses Adaptive EQ, features Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and Spatial Audio. The Transparency mode allows you to simultaneously listen to music while hearing the environment around them. The Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking delivers a theatre-like experience for content recorded in 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos.

Similar to the AirPods and AirPods Pro, the new AirPods Max features one-tap setup followed by automatic pairing and it automatically detects when they are on a user’s head using the optical and position sensors. When it comes to battery life, the AirPods Max claims to deliver up to 20-hours of battery life with high-fidelity audio, talk time, or movie playback with Active Noise Cancellation and spatial audio enabled. Also, it comes with a Smart Case that puts this headphone in an ultra-low-power state. It has fast charing that offers 1.5 hours of listening time with 5 minutes of charge.

Pricing and Availability

The AirPods Max comes in space grey, silver, sky blue, green, and pink colour options and is priced at Rs. 59,990 ($549 in the US). It will be available starting December 15th, 2020 from Apple India Online Store and Apple Authorised Resellers.
