Redmi Earbuds S shipments cross 1 lakh units in 7 days


Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched its first affordable true wireless earphones — Redmi Earbuds S in India last week. Now, the company has shared the first-week shipment figures of the Earbuds S.

According to source from Xiaomi Data Center, the Redmi Earbuds S has crossed 1,00,000 units in 7 days i.e., 27th May — 2nd June, 2020, and in a quarter, it is nearly 15% of the overall true wireless shipments. True wireless earbuds are becoming hugely popular among consumers in India and to recall, the TWS shipments in India saw a massive 700% growth YoY in 2019.

The tweet posted by the company reads “We’re cutting the ribbon on a new milestone! The all-new have crossed 1️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ units in 7️⃣ days! 🔊”. 

The Redmi Earbuds S was launched for Rs. 1799 in India and comes with splash-proof design, low-latency gaming mode, seamless switching between mono and binaural mode, etc. It connects through Bluetooth 5.0 chip, features dynamic sound drivers for enhanced bass and DSP environmental noise cancellation technology.

It weighs just 4.1 grams, has IPX4 ratings for water resistance, lets you play/pause music just by tapping or double-tap to launch voice assistant. It offers 4 hours of music playback on a single charge and the charging case offers up to 12 hours of backup. It is available from mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio.
