HMD Global announced Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 smartphones recently at IFA 2019 event. Both smartphones sport PureDisplay, triple rear cameras housed inside a circular camera module, and more. Today, Nokia Mobile India has started teasing a new phone launch and it is expected to be Nokia 7.2.
The teaser video posted by Nokia Mobile India says “Get ready to see the night in a different light. Stay tuned to #ExploreTheNight” and also reveals the circular camera module with ZEISS branding at the end of the video. This suggests that the smartphone being teased is Nokia 7.2 and we can expect HMD Global to launch it soon in India.

Alongside the Nokia 7.2, HMD Global is also expected to launch Nokia 6.2. Just after a few hours of the announcement in IFA, Nokia India website listed both Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 smartphones, and this suggests that the company will launch both smartphones in India. The exact launch date is not known yet, but we should know more information in the coming days.
To recall, Nokia 7.2 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ Waterdrop PureDisplay, is powered by Snapdragon 660 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), which is upgradable to Android 10. It features a 48-megapixel rear camera with ZEISS Optics, Quad Pixel technology AI features such as Portrait mode with unique ZEISS bokeh styles – ZEISS Modern, ZEISS Swirl and ZEISS Smooth. There is an 8-megapixel 118-degree ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor and there is also a 20-megapixel camera on the front with ZEISS Optics and Quad Pixel technology. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots and packs a 3500mAh battery.
