Xiaomi announced Redmi Y2 running on MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo 8.1 and also announced MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM at the same event back in June. The company recently launched Redmi 6 Pro running on MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo 8.1 in India along with Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 on 5th Sep. Xiaomi has recently started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for Redmi Y2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and others.
Now, Xiaomi has posted recruitment for Beta testers for some devices on Mi Community India, the company is looking for MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM testers for Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi Y2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Note 4. In case you have any of the above-mentioned devices and want to test the MIUI updates before everyone else, you can apply here to be a part of the Beta testing team. Beta testers get certain privileges including access to Closed Beta OTA updates, in case you are not aware of Closed Beta ROM refer to this post.
Users are supposed to flash MIUI Global Beta ROM on their device before applying which can be done using Updater method or Fastboot Flash method, MIUI Global Beta ROM for Redmi 6 Pro is not yet available but it will be released soon. Though the recruitment is open to all users, active members of Mi Community have an advantage over others, so if you have an active profile on Mi Community you should apply for it. Users are also supposed to install an instant messenger Telegram to discuss bugs with other testers and team. Deadline for applying is 26th Sep and users will be notified by 30th September regarding their selection.
