Moto G6 Unboxing and First Impressions


Motorola just launched its Moto G6 smartphone,  successor of last year’s Moto G5  in India. This time the company has gone with a glass back and dual rear cameras for the G6. Here we have the unboxing of the smartphone.

The Moto G6 has a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. Powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, it runs Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is stock with added features like Moto Display, Moto Voice,  Moto Actions and more. There is a fingerprint sensor below the display along with Motorola branding.

It has a 16-megapixel front camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 4MP adaptive low-light mode. It also has face unlock.

On the back there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots. There is LED flash below. You can also see the Moto branding.

Similar to most other Motorola phones, it has water-repellent coating that protects the phone from splashes or light rain. It also has a 3D glass back scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection, however the glass back is slippery to hold. It has USB Type-C port and packs a 3000mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging.

It comes with dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots arranged in a single tray. The phone is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 15,999. It will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting today midnight with several launch offers. It will also be available from Moto Hub stores offline.
