Windows 10 April 2018 Update starts rolling out – Here’s how to get it

Microsoft recently announced that it will start rolling out Windows 10 April 2018 update for Windows 10 users from April 30th. Today the company has announced that will begin the global roll out out via Windows Update on May 8, but you can get it manually. The update brings improved Focus Assist, a new Timeline feature for recalling previous apps you were working on across machines.

It also adds new features to Microsoft Edge, Windows Ink, Windows Mixed Reality, Windows Hello, Microsoft Photos, 3D in Windows 10,  Cortana,  Gaming, Touch Keyboard, Handwriting, Accessibility improvements,  Windows Defender Security Center Improvements, Windows 10 in S Mode and lots more.

How to get it?

  •  In the Search tab, type “Settings”. On the Settings page, navigate to Update & security > Windows Update
  • Once there, simply click “Check for updates” to download the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803
  • Update will now download and install in the background and prompts you to restart when it’s ready

Update time will vary depending on the internet connection for download, and your PC configuration for installation. Microsoft asks users report and issues installing and also share suggestions via the Feedback Hub app
