Moto E5 Plus with 18:9 display, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor surfaces in press render

We already know that Motorola will be refreshing its Moto G and E series this year. Moto E5  and Moto E5 Play had already surfaced in press renders, now the Moto E5 Plus render has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. Unlike the E5 and E5 Play, this will feature a 18:9 display. This also shows a front LED flash and Motorola logo below the display, similar to other phones in the series.

It will feature a unibody design with rear-mounted fingerprint sensor within the Motorola logo, similar to the E5. Even though the design of the camera arrangement is similar to the Moto X4, it only has a single camera. The render also shows a 3.5mm audio jack on the top along with a secondary microphone, USB port on the bottom along with the primary microphone. Since the speaker is not seen, it will likely be embedded into the earpiece.

We don’t have any specifications of the phone yet. Looking at refection on the back, it might have a glass back, similar to the Moto X4. The clock widget shows April 3, 2018 (Tuesday), same as the E5 and E5 Play renders.

Motorola has not scheduled any events at the MWC this week, so we can expect the phones to go official sometime in March along with the Moto G6 series.
