Apple schedules WWDC 2017 for June 5 in San Jose

Apple WWDC 2017 Invite

Apple just announced that its 28th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for this year happens from June 5th till June 9th. This time it is holding the event at a new venue – the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. This will be the first time WWDC will be in San Jose since 2002. Last WWDC took place at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and the previous year it was at Moscone West.

The company would reveal about the future of iOS and OS X at the event, including iOS 11, next macOS 10.13 and also new watchOS and tvOS update. This year’s invite has people walking forming Apple logo in the center and also has some text that says:

Technology alone is not enough. Technology must intersect with the liberal arts and the humanities, to create new ideas and experiences that push society forward. This summer we bring together thousands of brilliant minds representing many diverse perspectives, passions, and talents to help us change the world.

Tickets for WWDC 2017 go on sale in late March and will cost US$ 1599, same price as previous years. Tickets will be issued to attendees through a random selection process as demand is so high.

For those who cannot attend the event, Apple will also offer live stream on Apple Developer website and on the WWDC app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV starting from the keynote on June 5th and would probably start at 10.00 AM PDT (10:30 PM IST).
