HTC U Ultra could be HTC Ocean Note with 6-inch display and no 3.5mm headphone jack

Previously, we reported that the Taiwan-based handset maker HTC has scheduled an event on January 12th. In the latest development, popular tipster @onleaks has tweeted that the official name of the upcoming HTC smartphone might be HTC U Ultra.

As per the leak, the U Ultra smartphone will feature a 6-inch display and also took a brave step of ditching the traditional 3.5mm audio jack. Moreover, the company is working on three smartphone variants including U Ultra, that are all set to launch this month right after CES 2017. A new report also claims the upcoming Ocean Note aka U Ultra smartphone will come equipped with a rear camera with the highest DxOMark score, which is higher than Google Pixel’s DxOMark score of 89.

On the other hand, so-called Ocean series smartphones are tipped to come with Adaptive Audio technology that automatically adjusts the volume based on surroundings. The Taiwanese OEM is expected to launch a new smartphone on January 12th and the HTC U Ultra is believed to be one of them.
