HTC has been working on a smartwatch for some time and now and is expected to announce it soon according to few reports. Today, it looks like the company has accidentally leaked their upcoming smartwatch in a video.
The 35 second video which talks about the company’s design department shows a the first look of the smartwatch. Running on Android Wear, the smartwatch is expected to be available in square and round shape. However, the one in the video is square and sits on a dock which might be just for a display. Another shot shows the same employee working on what looks like a square smartwatch display on his computer.
Also, the one spotted in the video might just be a prototype and not the actual piece. At present LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are the two smartwatches running on Android Wear that are available for sale while Moto 360 will be launched soon. If announced, HTC’s smartwatch which is allegedly called HTC One Wear, will compete with the aforementioned. The company has kept mum about the watch despite various leaks and rumors. Meanwhile, HTC is also seeing big changes in the leadership with two of its important executives resigned last week.
