Samsung to issue OTA update for Galaxy Note 3 to bring back support for accessories

Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its latest and greatest flagship – Samsung Galaxy Note 3 a week back. Ever since the update, some users have complaints that some unofficial accessories have stopped working. Samsung was blamed that they had terminated the support for third party accessories with the latest update. But that is not the case. Samsung has acknowledged this problem and have mentioned that they will be issuing an OTA update to bring back the support.

In an official statement, Samsung have stated that they will be indeed working to make sure that the users have the full experience that they seek.

We have currently identified a software compatibility issue with the Galaxy Note 3 update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) and select 3rd party accessories. A software update will be available shortly. We are committed to offering a diverse and reliable mobile experience for all customers, providing continued support and solutions for any issues that arise with product updates for both Samsung manufactured and third-party accessories.

Samsung has its own range of official accessories like the S-View cover for Galaxy Note 3, but still has gone the distance to make sure third party accessories are also compatible with their products.
