The consecutive drop test involves dropping the Galaxy S4 hundreds of time on a hard metal floor. The free-fall test involves dropping the device from a certain height. In the tumble test the  Galaxy S4 is rolled inside a box. In the impact test the Galaxy S4’s glass must hold up to the impact of a dropped metal ball from a considerable height.

Galaxy Galaxy S4 Sink Test

An active Galaxy S4 is submerged in water for the Sink Test to test the functionality.

Galaxy Galaxy S4 Humidity and Heat Test

The heat & humidity test involves placing the device in a controlled environment with extremely high temperatures and humidity for five days. In addition, there are static tests such as dust inflow test and lots more tests that are not shown here, says Samsung. If the device works both externally and functionally after all these tests, then it’s a pass. These tests are conducted by trained professionals, so Do not try this at home, Samsung warns the consumers.
