Xolo A800 gets the Android Jelly Bean update



Xolo has released the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the A800. The phone was released back in December last year running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xolo has mentioned it as Android 4.2 on the Facebook page, but it’s actually Android 4.1.1, which comes pre-loaded on Xolo A1000 and the Q800. Xolo launched the Q700 running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) recently, and it would launch the Q1000 soon.

The Xolo A800 has a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core  processor The new Jelly Bean update for the A800 would bring faster performance with project butter, Google Now, Better notifications and lots more features.

The Android 4.1.1 update is now available for the Xolo A800 manually through USB. You need to download the 192MB zip file, transfer it to your phone and update it manually. You can read the complete instructions and download the files from the Xolo website.
