Samsung Wave Y launched in India for Rs. 7950


Samsung has launched Wave Y in India that runs on bada 2.0 OS. They announced the Wave Y last August along with Wave 3 and Wave M. It comes with a 3.2 inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT LCD display and is powered by 832MHz processor. It features 2 MP Full focus camera. It is 12.3 mm thick and weighs 102.4g.

It comes with 3.5mm audio Jack and stereo FM Radio with RDS. The connectity features include, 3G, Bluetooth v 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, A-GPS and USB 2.0. It also comes with CHATON mobile messenger app, TouchWiz for bada UI, Live Panel  interactive home screen and better Folder Management function. It has 150MB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD and 1,200mAh battery.

The Samsung Wave Y is priced at Rs. 7,950. Customers who purchase Airtel SIM card along with Wave Y would get 500 MB data free for 1 month and 100 MB free data usage per month for 12 months on 3G.

Prepaid customers would get 500 MB of 3G data for 1 month followed by 100MB free data usage on recharge of Rs 150 in addition to talk-time benefits. 100MB offer applicable for 24 recharges or 12 months whichever is earlier. The 100 MB offer is valid for all rental plan above Rs. 149 for post-paid customers.
