Samsung announces Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y bada 2.0 Smartphones

Samsung has announced new bada 2.0 phones Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y. They launched Bada 2.0 SDK recently that brings in new features that include multi-tasking, Wi-Fi Direct, HTML 5 support, voice recognition and Near Field Communication.

The Samsung Wave 3 is the upgraded version of Wave 2 that comes with 4 inch AMOLED touch screen display and Anodized aluminum body. The Wave M lies in the middle tire and the Wave Y lies lies in the entry level categories as per the latest naming system from Samsung and these phones have Metallic body.

  • 12.2mm thick and weighs 121g
  • bada 2.0 OS
  • 832MHz Processor
  • 5 MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash and secondary VGA camera
  • 3.5mm audio Jack and stereo FM Radio with RDS
  • 3G, Bluetooth v 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and USB 2.0
  • Wi-Fi Direct and NFC (optional)
  • 150MB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD
  • 1,350mAh battery that offers 6.5 h talk time and 480 h standby

  • 12.3 mm thick and weighs 102.4g
  • bada 2.0 OS
  • 832MHz Processor
  • 2 MP Full focus camera with LED Flash
  • 3.5mm audio Jack and stereo FM Radio with RDS
  • 3G, Bluetooth v 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and USB 2.0
  • Wi-Fi Direct and NFC(optional)
  • 150MB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD
  • 1,200mAh battery that offers 6.7 h talk time and 570 h standby

These phones come with the ChatON IM app pre-installed and has the new version of Samsung Apps, integrated app store with improved UI and enhanced store features. The Samsung Wave 3, the Samsung Wave M and the Samsung Wave Y would be showcased at IFA 2011 in Berlin.
