Reliance Jio, ATC India tie up to share telecom tower infrastructure


Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has entered into a pan-India tower infrastructure sharing agreement ATC India, an independent tower company, to use the latter’s telecom infrastructure with a footprint of over 11,000 telecom towers for their 4G roll out.

It tied-up with Viom Networks recently to share 42,000 telecom towers and already tied up with RCOM and Bharti Infratel. Reliance Jio received unified License for all its 22 service areas across India recently. It plans to roll out 4G broadband and voice services later this year.

Sanjay Mashruwala, Managing Director, Reliance Jio, said,

ATC Chief Operating Officer, B Ramanand, said

We, at ATC India, are delighted to offer our countrywide network infrastructure to help Reliance Jio in its aggressive nationwide rollout. This master contract recognises ATC’s high level of customer service and operational efficiency. We believe this will strengthen our foothold as the leading independent tower company in India.
