Karbonn is all set to launch the Titanium X, the company’s first phone with a full HD display. The phone has appeared on the official website and packs a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with Dual LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has NFC support and packs a 2300 mAh battery. Detailed specifications of the phone such as RAM and memory are not available yet. Karbonn launched the Titanium S9 with a 5.5-inch HD display and a 13MP camera back in July. Karbonn has launched four new budget smartphones, A90, A16, A99 and A35 in India. The Karbonn A90, A16, A99 have about 4-inch WVGA display, while the Karbonn A35 comes with a 5.0-inch qHD display. All these phones are powered by a dual-core processor. The smartphones has a 4.7-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandiwich) OS. It has a 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with Dual SIM support with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) connectivity. Micromax Canvas 4 vs Karbonn S5 Titanium
Karbonn and Micromax have been fighting to get the top spot in the mid-range phablet market in India. Micromax are with their fourth Canvas phone – the Canvas 4 while Karbonn are struggling to establish a single series and they have a very able Karbonn S5 Titanium.
The Canvas 4 was launched in July while the Karbonn S5 Titanium was released back in May. Both the devices have quite a lot of differences starting right from their internals with the Micromax Canvas 4 being powered by MediaTek’s Quad-core processor while Karbonn S5 Titanium is powered by a quad-core processor from Qualcomm. Both the devices also have different price points with the Canvas 4 on the higher mid-range while the S5 Titanium falls into the low mid-range category.

Karbonn A1 Star and the A5 Star, new budget Dual SIM Android smartphones are now available through online retailers Saholic and Flipkart. These are the successors of the Karbonn A1 and the Karbonn A5. The Karbonn A1 was launched back in 2011 and the A5 was launched last year. The A1 Star and the A5 Star have 3.5 inch and 3.2-inch display at HVGA resolution. Both these phones are powered by a 1 GHz processor. The A1 Star runs on Android 4.0 ICS, while the A5 Star runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Both these have Dual SIM support, rear and front-facing cameras. Karbonn ties up with Vodafone, offers bundled data with Titanium S5 and Smart A12
Karbonn has announced that they have tied up with Vodafone India to offer free data on purchase of the Karbonn Titanium S5 and the Smart A12. This would let the Karbonn Titanium S5 buyers enjoy 1GB of 3G or 3G Unlimited Internet Plan free for 3 Months on Vodafone. First time Vodafone 3G customers using Karbonn A12 would get 500 MB of 3G and 2G Internet Plan free for 2 months. The company partnered with Airtel earlier this year to offer similar data packs with select smartphones.
