Adobe has launched Adobe Touch Apps, range of 6 new creative apps for the Android Tablets that would bring offer professional-level creativity to millions of tablet users. These are designed to work with both finger and stylus input. The list of apps include, Adobe Photoshop Touch for image editing, Adobe Collage for moodboards, Adobe Debut for presenting and reviewing creative work, Adobe Ideas for sketching, Adobe Kuler for exploring color themes and the Adobe Proto for website and mobile app prototyping. Adobe Flash Player v11.1 and AIR 3.1 for Android brings performance improvements and bug fixes

Adobe Flash Player for Android has been updated to version 11.1.102.59 and the Adobe AIR gets updated to version 3.1.0.488 that brings performance improvements and bug fixes related to security and stability. Adobe announced earlier this week that they would stop the Flash Player development for the mobile phones and tablets. This might be the last update for the Android with the improvements and security bug fixes. The earlier versions of the Flash Player and AIR  brought 3D game support, premium video content with protection and more. Dailymotion for Android and iPhone has been upgraded to version 2.0 that brings in new features including a new intuitive personalized interface with new dashboard, universal search and new player with lots of enhancements. Google Translate for iPhone now supports 5 Indian languages

Google Translate for iPhone has been updated to version 1.2.0 that brings 5 new Indian language support the include, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. This feature is already available for the Google Translate for desktop and the web app since June. The Google Translate for iPhone was launched earlier this year and has received some minor updates since then. With the new addition, the app now supports text translation among 63 languages, voice input in 17 of those languages, and text-to-speech in 24 of them. Firefox for Android v8.0 update brings Better Security and Home Screen Bookmarks

Firefox for Android has been updated to version 8.0 that lets the users to set a master password to encrypt saved usernames and passwords for better security. This also has Home Screen Bookmark feature that lets the users add any bookmarks on their Android Home Screen. The Firefox mobile already has option to sync browser history, bookmarks, passwords and open tabs from any device and also supports add-ons. The previous version was Version 7.0 that was launched in September. Swype for Symbian updated to v2.1 in Nokia Beta Labs

Swype Keyboard Beta for Symbian has been updated to version 2.1 that brings Symbian Belle support and new install / uninstall experience that lets you install the app easily without any problem. They have solved all the critical issues raised on Nokia Beta for the period of last 8 weeks in the Beta Labs. This is also the last Beta release for the app before it gets graduated to the Ovi store. Spotify app now available for Windows Phone 7.5 devices

Spotify, online Music streaming app is now available for the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) devices. The Windows Phone 7 is their 7th mobile app, and it is already available for iPhone, Android and Symbian. It also has an Offline mode option that lets you listen without an internet connection. Samsung launches Theme Designer 2.0 for bada developers

Samsung has launched a new version of the Theme Designer tool for bada developers. The Samsung Theme designer 2.0 now supports Wave 3 and Wave M, bada 2.0 devices and also has support for flash content (.swf). The authoring tool includes model specific pre-set information, image / animation / flash components, preview function, and sample theme templates. The process is less with the theme designer that includes simple steps in the stages of concept and design. The previous version, 1.0.5 was launched this May. BBM Music launched in US, Canada and Australia


RIM has launched their own cloud based music service, BBM Music after closed Beta trial of several months in Canada, the United States and the UK. The BBM music was announced in August.  The BBM Music is powered by cloud music service provider, Omnifone and it has millions of songs from leading music companies. The BBM music lets you listen to full tracks from the friend’s profile, build a music profile with 50 of your favorite songs with an option to swap 25 songs each month and create multiple playlist. The more BBM friends with BBM Music Premium subscriptions you have, the more songs you can share. Opera Mini 6.5 now available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian S60 and Java Phones

Opera has launched their latest Opera Mini 6.5 with Data Usage view and bookmark import for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian S60 and Java Phones. The Opera Mobile 11.5 browser is now also available on Symbian S60. The Data Usage view keeps count of how much data you are spending and saving in total, or for a specific time frame. It is said to save 90% of data cost. The Opera Mini and Mobile for Android was launched last month.
