Samsung Galaxy S23 series said to be powered solely by Qualcomm SoCs

For Samsung, Exynos was the flagship SoC of choice. However, in 2022, Samsung’s strategy has shifted slightly, with the company producing more Snapdragon-powered S Series smartphones for sale in larger markets. According to reports, Qualcomm currently controls approximately 70% of the shipment proportion for the latest Galaxy S22 series. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could use four-cluster architecture

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 last year, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was introduced last month as a minor upgrade offering a slight increase in performance. It should release the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550) next year. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm might switch from 1+3+4 tri-cluster architecture to 1+2+2+3 architecture.
