Twitter now lets everyone create Moments

Twitter had launched Moments curation tool for live events in October last year. Now the micro blogging site is opening Moments tool for everyone that will allow all users to create their own stories using tweets and photos.

Moments allows users to keep a tab of current events in real time and surfaces important tweets, photos and video about a particular event. You will now see a “Create a new Moment,” tab on your profile and all you have to do is tap on it set a title for your Moment, add a cover image, your own tweets which can also be searched and hit publish. Up until now, Moments were created by Twitter editors and a small group of publishing partners. Earlier in March, Twitter updated Moments with support for Google’s AMP.

Currently the Moment creation feature is live only for the web version of Twitter but it is expected to expand soon to mobile apps as well. At the beginning of this week it was reported that Google, Salesforce and other tech companies are in talks with Twitter for a potential sale. Twitter has been struggling to increase its user base for quite sometime now and is therefore introducing new feature and improvements to its platform.
