LG announced their flagship G2 nearly a month back and it is being showcased in IFA 2013 in Berlin. LG G2 runs on Snapdragon 800 and has a 5.2inch Full HD Tru IPS display. Along with the many features that LG introduced in its G2, we brought you the live demo of Knock On feature, here is the OIS demo.
It seems that LG is taking a leaf out of Samsung’s book with the new LG G2 smartphone coming with a range of new software-based features, each of which comes with its own name for clever marketing gimmicks. One of these features is Knock On, which is exclusive to the LG G2 and was on show at IFA 2013.
Similar to the double-tap to wake feature on Nokia Lumia smartphones, such as the Nokia Lumia 1020, Knock On allows you to wake your device from sleep with a double tap on the screen. LG rely on sensors to register the motion and we found that Knock On is actually a quite handy feature to have, especially as the LG G2 has the power button on the back.

LG unveiled the G2, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in New York last month, now the company has announced that they would roll out the smartphone in the United States and Germany starting in September. The LG G2 has a edge-to-edge 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with minimal bezel, powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG launched the G2 their latest flagship Android phone today in New York City in USA. Andre from our US team was there at this launch event and got us these photos of the G2 just for FoneArena readers. The design of the G2 is the worst kept secret and has been leaked a zillion times but then this is the final real device which was announced today.The display is a gorgeous 5.2 inch full HD IPS screen with a very small bezel and there are no physical keys on the front and the Android keys are on screen like on the Nexus 4. LG Electronics has announced that the upcoming LG G2 will come preloaded with the sounds from the world famous Vienna Boys’ Choir. LG confirmed their flagship G2 recently and also revealed the Quick Window accessory for the device. The LG G2 would have unique harmonic sounds including 9 ringtones and 5 notifications and alarms and also 4 musical chimes such as Bach’s Air on the G String. LG has officially announced that the next smartphone in the ‘G’ Series would be simply called the LG G2 without the Optimus branding. It said that in order to strengthen the brand of premium product phase than the ‘ G ‘ series, it decided to drop the ‘Optimus’ branding. It added that the future smartphones in the same series will carry only the G name while the branding of mobile devices that have already been introduced will continue unchanged.
