For every manufacturer, both big and small, there is a definite need to offer a variety of smartphones with different screen sizes. One of the most popular screen sizes at the moment, unless you’re Apple of course, is 5 inches which many manufacturers use for their flagship 1080p Full HD smartphones, like the LG G2 or Galaxy S4. However, at IFA 2013 as part of their Titanium entry level range, Archos unveiled the 50 Titanium to cater for those who want the big screen size without the hefty price tag.

During IFA 2013, little known player Archos announced a range of new Android powered smartphones and tablets – the Titanium range is their entry-level offering and comes with dual-SIM functionality in four screen sizes. The Archos 53 Titanium is the largest of the bunch and sports a 5.3 inch TFT FWVGA display that has 854 x 480 pixels resolution – as you can imagine, the low resolution combined with large screen make for a relatively dull viewing experience.
