Apple introduced iPhone 13 series in an online event few hours back. At the event, it also announced price cuts for iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, and Apple India has also reduced the price of the models in India. The iPhone 11 got a price cut after the launch of iPhone 12 last year. This is the first official price cut on MRP for the iPhone 12 and 12 mini since the launch last year. These come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion, supporting an adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz. At its event, Apple just announced the iPhone 13, the company’s latest iPhone, and the successor of iPhone 12 and a smaller iPhone 13 mini, both with support for 5G, new A15 bionic processor and upgraded cameras. The iPhone 13 mini and the 13 come with 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR displays, respectively, and have support for HDR and Dolby Vision, same as the predecessor, but these Super Retina XDR OLED displays are 28% brightness outdoors at 800 nits, with higher peak brightness for HDR at 1200 nits. These retain the Ceramic Shield protection that was introduced in the iPhone 12. Along with the new iPad, Apple also upgraded its iPad mini with several upgrades. First up, the new iPad mini features a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with narrow borders compared to the 7.9-inch display in the predecessor. It has 500 nits of brightness, P3 wide color gamut, anti-reflective screen coating, True Tone, and full lamination. It is powered by A15 Bionic chip, the same chip that powers the iPhone 13 series. The 6-core CPU promises 40% performance improvements, and the 5-core GPU promises an 80% leap in graphics performance compared to the previous generation of iPad mini with an A12 Bionic chip.

Apple just announced new iPad (9th Gen) at its event as expected. It packs a 10.2-inch Retina Display with upgraded ambient light sensor that enables True Tone, which adjusts screen content to the color temperature of a room. It has the new A13 Bionic chip with 20% faster performance in CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. Apple said that it is up to 3x faster than top-selling Chromebook and 6x faster than top-selling Android tablets. It still has support for Apple Pencil first gen, smart keyboard, has an upgraded 12MP ultra-wide camera, and comes with Gigabit LTE option as well. Xiaomi launched Mi 11X series last month in India. The Mi 11X series devices run Android 11 with the company’s proprietary skin – MIUI 12 on top. The Mi 11X is a rebranded Redmi K40, which launched back in February in China. The same smartphone is also available as POCO F3 in Global markets. Xiaomi has now started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Stable update for Mi 11X smartphone in India.

After rumours, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy M22, the company’s latest mid-range M series phone in Europe. It has a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED 90Hz screen with Infinity-U notch that houses a 13MP camera, is powered by screen Helio G80 SoC with 4GB of RAM, has a 48MP rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth and a 2MP macro sensor. This lacks the OIS feature which was present in the Galaxy A22 that shares similar specifications with the M22.
