Amazon planning to offer paid apps for free via “Unlocked” program

With an aim to bolster its Appstore installs, Amazon is said to be launching a new “Unlocked” program, as per Tech Crunch.  This service will offer paid apps and games absolutely free.

The report describes Unlocked as “Amazon Prime for apps,” and it would offer paid apps for free, and even unlock all in-app purchases for “free-to-play” games.
