vivo X Fold5 with 120Hz LTPO AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, IPX5 + IPX8, IPX9, IPX9+ ratings, 6000mAh battery launched in India for Rs. 1,49,999


vivo just launched the X Fold5, the company’s latest foldable phone in India, as it had promised. The phone has an 8.03″ 2K+ 120Hz LTPO screen that can reach up to 4,500 nits of local peak brightness. The cover display is 6.53″ FHD+ which is also a 120Hz LTPO panel with the same 4,500 nits of peak brightness.

It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, same as the X Fold3 Pro and has 20762mm² VC + graphite heat dissipation. The vivo X Fold5 folding screen mobile phone has an innovative hinge antenna, which is designed at the hinge position to save internal space to the greatest extent and ensure the cellular network experience when folded.

The phone has IPX8 & IPX9 ratings for water resistance, IP5X ratings for dust resistance and –20°C Freeze Resistance for the phone. The Carbon Fiber Support Hinge has been tested for 600,000 folds, said the company. The phone is just 9.2 mm thick when folded, 4.3 mm when unfolded and weighs just 217g.

The phone has a 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX921 sensor with f/1.57 lens and OIS. Additionally, it features a 50MP 3x telephoto module with a Sony IMX882 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle module. The selfie cameras utilize a pair of 20MP sensors.

This has a Shortcut Button that will let you access apps and activate functions instantly.

The vivo X Fold5 is the first with a 6000mAh blue volt battery ; the industry’s first fourth-generation silicon negative electrode technology, with an energy density of up to 866Wh/L, an increase of 13% at room temperature and 20% at low temperature compared to the previous generation; the industry’s first second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology, achieving normal battery power supply at -30℃.
